How They'll Be Implemented
EDU Battery
SwapText
GroupWith
SwapText brings with it some interesting design problems that - if overcome - could lead to a long and promising future.
The primary issue with SwapText is in insuring that both owners receive their textbooks in a timely manner. While most E-Commerce stores have a buyer and seller - where the only difficulty is having the seller fulfill their end of the bargain - a trading service would need to do this for both traders.
How we fix this issue: we will have warehouses stationed throughout the area that hold a book until both books have been verified to be 'sent or received'. With this being said, the speed of the trade will be dependent on the last book to arrive.
Moreover, we will take advantage of excess capacity of other warehouses.
EDUBattery plans to be available online in the near future through the work of our dedicated programmers.
These are the same programmers that'll design and build the webpages that win the EDU Gen website competition.
Primarily written in HTML5, Javascript, and PHP, our website is created from scratch and plans to update its page according to community advice and personal webpage submissions.
Our main page will be treated in much the same way as a Dummy Page made with EDU Gen!
GroupWith's system is heavily dependent on time and search algorithms.
Your past information regarding study and event preferences will be taken into account and compared to information associated with other individuals and the event itself.
While GroupWith would like to spread to the entire local area, it is contained to campuses.
Why We Display Our Code?
In much the same way that the community will critique your code when you begin submitting your Dummy Pages, we want to give you the same opportunity.
Furthermore, why not?
What They're For
SwapText
EDU Battery
GroupWith
SwapText is a service dedicated to combating the soaring prices within the new textbook industry by allowing users to 'Trade, Buy, or Sell' used books in a simplistic online vendor.
When trading a book, the two traders can agree to meet up at the closest location on campus.
In addition, if the two traders are a large distance from one another, they have another option: send the item to a warehouse that verifies both books have been sent before shipping them out to their respective owners. (Think E-Commerce sites.)
EDU Battery is the name for the overall website that contains SwapText, GroupWith, and EDU Gen. This web-based service consists of a multitude of other web-services to fulfill the educational needs of its students.
SwapText and GroupWith are the primary webpages and services offered by EDU Battery, but EDU Gen adds an element of fun to the web-service that'll be sure to grasp the attention of the creative minded.
EDU Gen allows contestants to submit their webpages with an educational purpose in mind - either through code or artistic renditions - that'll be voted upon by website members. The winner's webpages will be implemented into EDU Battery as a whole!
GroupWith is an event scheduling service that updates and handles campus events in real time, whether that be school wide or for a personal study group.
The creator of the study group can change how the it appears on the webpage through an assortment of filtering options: study group capacity, individual preferences, content of study, and more.
In addition to the individual preferences of the study group creator, the person searching for events or study groups will have their results filtered by their own personal preferences.
All-in-all, GroupWith is a community webpage that embraces the needs of each individual while helping the whole.
Dummy Pages give our users the opportunity to submit webpages on the website, permanently! You can do this in one of three ways:
1. Submit an artistic rendition of your page as seen above.
2. Submit code that our website will display with an iframe. The more tech savy can view the code rather than the visual presentation.
3. You can do both 2 and 3, in case your code is lacking in aesthetic appeal.

Fill out our GroupWith form so we can have your data on how YOU like to study.
It's quick and simple, and this information can be used to find helpful study group results for you!
The creators of Dummy Pages will need to submit additional information about the viability of their page before submission. The criteria for this are:
1. Try your best to clearly identify what kind of data structure you dummy Page uses. Otherwise, we will determine the data structures used.
2. Label sources of external information used in the Dummy Page. (Chemistry conversion information, math formulas, etc.)
